Samyang 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye lens to be available also for Samsung NX cameras
Besides announcing the release of the Samyang 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye lens for the Sony NEX compact system cameras Samyang also decided to make this lens available for the Samsung NX compact system cameras.
The Samyang 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye for Samsung NX system is set to be available for purchase starting July 2012 and has an announced sales price of €349.99.
This lens is a high quality 180 degrees ultra wide angle lens designed at same time for the Sony NEX and Samsung NX lens. In terms of field of view it provides a full frame equivalent 12mm field of view with an equivalent depth of field of about F4.0 .

The Samyang 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye lens is made out of 10 different optical elements in 8 different optical groups including an aspherical one and two ED elements for optimal optical performance and minimizing lens flare. The focusing ring has 6 blades and allows apertures of F2.8 wide open till F22 fully closed.
The lens are made with dedicated mounts for both Sony NEX and Samsung NX compact system cameras but due to lack of electronic elements no EXIF is recorded.
The Samyang 8mm F2.8 UMC Fisheye lens is available in two colors: black and silver.
